The meat is tender and juicy with a slightly chewy texture that's perfect for slow-cooking or roasting. Lamb shoulder has a slightly fatty and marbled consistency, which gives it a rich and succulent flavour.
Cooking Methods
Place the lamb in a slow cooker along with any vegetables or other ingredients you prefer, such as potatoes, carrots, onions, or garlic. Add enough liquid, such as broth or wine, to partially cover the lamb. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, or until the meat is tender and falls off the bone.
Serving Suggestions
Slow-cook the lamb shoulder with aromatic vegetables such as onions, carrots, and celery. Serve with mashed potatoes, gravy, and steamed green beans.
